My name is Ted. I’m a Lutheran pastor working to plant a new church with a great group of people. I’m setting up this blog to engage the core group of our church plant with some great gospel-centered material already free and online as well as some original content. When I post something I’ll either give my take and/or ask questions to foster greater learning and discussion. I hope that this site will not only be useful for our core group, but anyone who would like to understand how to better live the Christian life with Gospel-intentionality. In addition to missional training, I’ll also occasionally post other theological content, writing, sermons, etc. as a way of sharing what I’m doing as a pastor and church planter as well as what has encouraged me in my walk.
We believe that faith grows in motion. We grow our most in our journey with God when we are walking together in authentic and challenging relationships with fellow Christians as we follow Jesus.
Jesus once said, “Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock” (Matthew 7:24).
And the Apostle James said, “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” (James 1:22)
We hope that through this site you will not just grow in your knowlege of God and His word, but also that God might continue to challenge all of us to live with greater Gospel intentionality and effectiveness that his kingdom might be spread.

The opposite is happening almost everywhere, Judith. We’re so thankful we have a supporting Mother Church and District that is leading the way in Church Planting. We’re planting in Jackson, MO, just south of Perry County where the LCMS got it’s start.

What a nice surprise to see your like on my page – dear to my heart and receding into the past. I lived in China for grad school and experienced the love of a people. Talk about the gospel, two generations now have never even heard the words, “Heavenly Father”. When I explained the concept and invited a small group to join me in a blessing on the food they were interested and obliged me. Several days later, two young women came back and told me that the next time we ate together they wanted to ‘have a pray again. We need that pray in our lives.” It was eye opening and a strong testimony to me of God’s love to see that they knew something was missing from their lives, they just did not know what. The best to you as you share your knowledge of the peace God can
bring to our lives.
